4 Ways To Save MONEY On Every Grocery Trip
It seems the cost of food is always on the increase. Unfortunately my paycheck is not thus requiring my budget to be stretched even more. I was determined to make trips to the grocery store less stressful and costly. I did some research and came up with 4 ways to save money on every trip to the grocery store. These are easy things anyone can do to keep a little extra money in your pocket.
The Ibotta app, is by far, my favorite money saving app! It is simple to use and offers rebates for hundreds of items at multiple locations. Once you’ve installed the app simply choose your preferred store and select the items you want to purchase. Once at the grocery store, you can use the bar code scanner to verify the product is on rebate if needed. After you checkout you will scan the bar code of the items you selected in the app and scan the receipt.
Your rebates will be added to your account usually within 24 hours. Ibotta also offers bonus deals to earn you more money back so watch your notifications! The beauty of this app is that you can cash out with PayPal or gift cards as soon as you reach $20, or you can let your balance grow. Use my special referral code, aioudjh, and you will get a $10 welcome bonus. Sign up at https://ibotta.com/r/aioudjh
#2 Checkout 51
This app is similar to the previous Ibotta app, another money saving app that offers rebates at multiple locations. You select the items you want to purchase and go shopping. Scan the receipt and select the items you purchased and submit. Many of the same rebates are on both apps so you can essentially double up on the savings. There are also bonus deals to earn more cash by redeeming certain rebates, details will be listed in the app. Cashing out is very simple, once you reach $20 you can have a check mailed to you or use PayPal to receive funds.
#3 Walmart Savings Catcher
This app is the simplest of them all! As I usually only do my grocery shopping at Walmart, this is a must for me. After signing up for the Savings Catcher, just scan your Walmart receipt into the app. If a competitor of Walmart has an advertised price for a product that is lower than Walmart’s price, they will give you the difference! You don’t have to spend time doing the price comparison, the app does it for you. The difference that is found will be added to your account. When you are ready to cash out, a Walmart e-gift card will be e-mailed to you or you can choose to load it to your Bluebird card.
This app, just like the first two, will give you rebates on the items you purchase. There are multiple stores you can shop at to redeem and tons of items with rebates. You will have to upload the receipt via picture, and scan the bar code of the items you purchased. Once your account reaches $5, you can cash out with a direct deposit into your bank account, PayPal, or you can choose a gift card.
